What should I bring?
Some exhibitors and artists won’t be able to take debit or credit cards, so be sure to have cash on hand. Wear comfortable shoes, and be sure to bring a smile!
Is there an ATM nearby?
The Winnipeg Convention Centre has ATMs available for public use just outside of the main hall. There is a fee charged for the use of these machines.
What kind of currency should I have? Can I pay for things in American dollars?
Bring Canadian dollars (CAD) to the event. While there is the chance that some dealers will take USD, it’s best to have Canadian money on hand. This is a Canadian event, and all prices are in Canadian dollars.
Is it okay to wear a costume?
It’s encouraged! Please make sure any props comply with our weapons policy. Please also consider entering the costume contest – all are welcome, from store-bought costumes to handmade works of art, from your favourite characters to amazing originals!
Where can I sit down and relax?
Conventions can be tiring, we understand. If your feet are tired or you need to just take a break away from the main floor, there will be tables set up outside the main hall to take a seat and have a snack. You can also take a break at one of our video rooms or panels and watch some great entertainment!
If you need some fresh air, you can walk across the street to the Japanese Gardens and watch as congoers walk by and cosplay photos are taken!
