C4 was nominated in the category of Marketing Budget Under $2500, recognized for our grassroots approach to marketing.

If you’ve been part of the C4 for the past eight years, you know about our poster campaigns, our hand bill campaigns and our word of mouth campaigns. It’s for these reasons that C4 is as big as it is today.

The Winnipeg Costume Alliance & Central Canada Pop Culture Expo will be hosting a fundraiser and Food Drive for Winnipeg Harvest . 

The Costume Alliance (https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/CostumeAlliance) will be providing Green-Screen Photo Opportunities for attendees of both the Pop Culture Expo (http://www.c4con.com/) and other events in the main lobby of the Convention Center.  Gget your photo taken with your favorite costume character and be digitally transported into one of our many digital environments.  Prints provided for a minimum $5.00 donation or non-perishable food donation. 

Funds and donations will be given to Winnipeg Harvest (http://winnipegharvest.org/) a not for profit community based organization that is a food distribution and training center.

Ted Sali Photo in association with Costume Alliance will be raising money for Winnipeg Harvest!

Get your photo taken with one of their costumers, and choose your location!

Prints are $5.00 or FREE with a donation of a non perishable food item.

Here’s a check list of things you should know about the Expo:

1. Advanced Tickets are $14.00 for a one day and only $20.00 for a two day pass.

2. Kids 12 and Under are FREE.

3. Members can buy their tickets AT THE DOOR only (go see Perry, he’s awesome) and you’ll be paying $15.00 for your weekend pass.

4. Programming schedule is up now over here: http://www.c4con.com/at-the-con/programming/ NOTE: ADAM WEST IS SPEAKING ON SUNDAY AT NOON. OH AND ALL PROGRAMMING IS FREE AT THE EXPO.

6. Yvonne Craig. She’s a bit of a commodity, we’ve been trying to convince her to come for five years, and um, we’re one of the only shows she’s doing this year. We’re SO LUCKY to have her.

7. THE COSTUME CONTEST. That’s right, come dressed up just like you do at C4, and enter to win some awesome prizes! (This is being hosted by the Costume Alliance)

8. Did I mention PROGRAMMING IS FREE? (it’s free, and Kids 12 and Under are FREE. Want me to say it again? FREEEEEEE)

9. Tickets are available at TICKETMASTER ONLY (but they have outlets all over the city.)

10. We do have artists and exhibitors from across Canada coming out to this show, come say hi to your favorites.

11. HAVE FUN! (Recycle, Play Chess, Get a Photo done with FROGGY or with Costume Alliance, Join a club, watch some fan films, cartoons and anime, play video games, shop, talk shop, and shop til you drop, wear a costume, or don’t wear one but wear something, and last but not least, make this the greatest EXPO yet!)
